Apply for permission to use the job title anesthesia technical assistant

Would you like to apply for a permit to use the professional title of anesthesia technician?

The legally prescribed requirements for the use of the professional title are examined. After a successful examination, permission to use the professional title of anesthesia technical assistant is granted.

The Hessian State Office for Health and Care (HLfGP) has been responsible since 01.01.2023.

• -Medical certificate of fitness (not older than three months),
• -Certificate of good conduct pursuant to § 30 (4) of the Federal Central Register Act (not older than three months),
• -Declaration of reliability

• You have completed the prescribed training and passed the state examination,
• You have not been guilty of any behavior that would make you unreliable to practice the profession,
• You are not medically unfit to practise the profession,
• You have the necessary knowledge of the German language to exercise the profession.
  

Administrative court action

• You submit your application to the competent authority using the online form and upload the required documents if necessary,
• The permit is issued if the competent authority determines that the legal requirements have been met.
  

The professional title may only be used after permission has been granted.

Fee 80,00 EUR

The Hessian State Office for Health and Nursing is responsible for state recognition, the supervision of training centers and the approval of schools for anesthesia technical assistants and surgical technical assistants to accept trainees. The authority is responsible for examination matters, the issuing of professional licenses and the creation of replacement documents. It decides on the potential equivalence of other training content and possible shortening of training.
