Here you will find information on changing the PIN for your electronic proof of identity.
Citizens can have their online ID card activated and set their new PIN free of charge at their local authority's citizen service.
Description
You can reset your PIN for using the electronic proof of identity at any time:
- as often as you like at home or
- if the PIN has been forgotten or blocked by entering it incorrectly three times, at the ID card office.
The identity card authority or citizens' office will help you free of charge if
- your online ID card is deactivated,
- you can no longer find your PIN letter with transport PIN,
- you have forgotten your PIN or
- the PIN is blocked.
