Special reporting obligation in hospitals, homes and similar institutions Information

In the cases referred to in § 32 sec. 2 sentence 1 of the Federal Registration Act, the competent authorities shall be provided with information from the documents of hospitals, nursing homes and similar institutions to the extent of the data specified in sentence 2.

If, according to the determination of an authority, it is necessary to avert a significant and present danger, to prosecute criminal offences or to clarify the fate of missing persons and accident victims in individual cases, hospitals, homes and similar establishments shall provide the competent authority with information from their records. The information includes surnames, first names, date and place of birth and, in the case of birth abroad, the country, nationalities, addresses, date of admission and date of discharge.
