apply for a real trade licence

A new real trade licence cannot be applied for. An existing one can be renewed upon application.

Real trade licences are the powers to exercise a trade associated with the ownership of a specific plot of land. New ones may no longer be established since 1869 (Section 10 (2) GewO).

A real trade licence that has not been exercised for three years expires. The period may be extended by the licensing authority if there is good cause.

Real trade licence was granted before 1869.

The extension must be requested in writing.
