Apply for a business legitimation card

If you need proof in another country that you are doing business in the Federal Republic of Germany, you can have a business legitimation card issued.

Contact the municipal or city administration in which you have your habitual residence or where the company has or will have its registered office.

• Completed application form
• Identity card or passport
• If applicable, extract from the commercial register, association register or cooperative register
• If applicable, certificate of good conduct/excerpt from the Central Trade Register
• Craft card, if applicable
• If applicable, proof of insurance required for the trade carried out

You must operate a business in Germany.

The amount of the fee depends on the time required by the authorities. It amounts to at least 30.50 euros.
