Dog tax - deregister dog

It is always necessary to deregister from keeping the dog if you give up keeping the dog in your municipality of residence. For more information, please contact the location search of the municipality responsible for you.

You must deregister your dog with your local authority if:

• you transfer your main residence to another municipality, or if
• You don't have a dog anymore.

• in case of personal deregistration: identity card or confirmation of registration

As a rule, you can deregister your dog in person by speaking or in writing.

As a rule, you can use the "Dog Tax Deregistration" form to deregister. You can obtain this form from your municipality or download it from their website.

The deregistration is regulated in the local dog tax statute and must usually be made within one month.
