Apply for mobility funding to take up training in connection with a change of residence
If you leave your current place of residence to start training in another region, you can receive a mobility allowance.
Description
If you cannot find a suitable training place in your home region, taking up training in another region can be a way of realizing your career aspirations.
The mobility grant helps you to leave your current living environment if you are planning to start training in another region.
The grant covers the costs of 2 family trips home per month during the first year of training.

- The application must be submitted to the employment agency or job center responsible for the place of residence where you lived before you moved no later than the day before the start of your training.

- you are taking up in-company or external vocational training,
- the journey to your training place and back would normally take more than 2 hours without moving and
- you therefore have to move to start your vocational training.

Procedure
The first step towards a mobility grant is a consultation with your advisor or integration specialist. You must agree the option of funding with them. If you do not yet have an advisor or integration specialist, you must contact the employment agency or job center.
As soon as the advisor or integration specialist has made a decision, they can activate you for the "Mobility grant" eService.
Before you start your training, you must submit an application for a mobility allowance to the employment agency or job center.
You can submit the application by post or online via the "Mobility grant" eService:
- Complete the application.
- Upload the required documents.
- Send the application with the required documents.
- If you want to submit additional documents, you can upload them via the application overview in your profile for the respective application.
- The responsible counseling or integration specialist will then review and decide on the application.
- You will receive a notice of approval or rejection.
Deadlines
Application deadline: You must apply for the mobility grant before the start of your training.
